FAQ
Frequent Asked Questions
Welcome to our FAQ page! Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our handmade wooden sculptures. If you have any other queries, don’t hesitate to reach out!
What wood do you use?
We exclusively use 100% Australian recycled wood for all our sculptures. This includes reclaimed timber from old fences, skirting boards, pallets, floorboards, and more. Each piece not only has its own unique look but also carries a story from its past life.
How long does it take to make a piece?
The time required depends on the size and complexity of the sculpture. Typically, it can take anywhere from half a day for simpler designs to up to three days for our most intricate creations. Every piece is crafted with care to ensure high-quality and artistic detail.
What’s the procedure behind creating the sculptures?
Our process begins with a sketch, followed by selecting the perfect pieces of recycled wood. We then cut the wood into various shapes, assemble the pieces, and meticulously sand the sculpture. Finally, we carve and burn the finer details to bring the piece to life. This hands-on, step-by-step approach ensures that each sculpture is a true work of art.
Can I hang my sculpture outdoors?
Yes, you can! However, please let us know if you intend to hang your sculpture outdoors when placing your order. This allows us to treat the wood and apply a water-resistant backing for durability. We may also add a protective varnish to enhance its weather resistance, ensuring your piece stands up beautifully to the elements.
How does it hang?
All our sculptures come with hooks pre-installed at the back, so they’re ready to be easily mounted on your wall. Simply unpack, hang, and enjoy!
Why does it take time for my order to be shipped?
Every sculpture is made to order, allowing us to create a truly unique piece just for you. This handcrafted approach means the process takes a bit of time, but it ensures the highest quality and personal touch in each and every piece we deliver.
